Description

First Set Celebration

To celebrate Black History Month, students will learn about the history of jazz created by Black hands.  The Ron Jones Quartet from Louisville, will play a live jazz set providing injects of information on the origins of jazz as created by Black hands.  

Second Set Celebration

The Live Jazz and Poetry set will provide students the opportunity to celebrate the genre of jazz while listing to and learning from the Ron Jones Quartet who will perform songs live.  Students will also be able to hear and participate in the sharing of live poetry.  Poetry and Jazz will be intermixed during the second portion of the program.  We will end the celebration with a bang as the Ron Jones Quartet gives a jam session highlighting how jazz can empower the soul.
